25th ANNUAL Roger Menke Memorial THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
“Join together in an interfaith response to Christ's call to feed His hungry."
The St. Mark Conference of St. Vincent de Paul is joining in an interfaith effort with local churches to provide families from our community with a Thanksgiving meal.
We feel blessed and fortunate to be able to share the love of Christ with these families this year and we are very grateful to all of you that make this drive possible!
We are asking that every family take an empty bag and return it filled with the suggested Thanksgiving items to complete a meal for a family in need. Monetary donations are needed and will be used to purchase gift cards for turkeys, loaves of bread, and other items. The need continues to grow each year and it’s your continued support and generosity that allows us to help our neighbors in need.
Please fill your bag with the following non-perishable items:
(No glass please!)- 2 cans of green beans
- 2 cans of corn
- 2 cans of beans (black, red, pinto, etc.)
- 1 large bag/box of white rice
- 1 large box of instant potatoes
- 1 jar of peanut butter
- 1 can or 2 envelopes of turkey gravy
- 1 $15 Publix/Walmart/ALDI Gift Card
- 1 dessert (cake/icing or brownie mix)
- 1 box of rolls or muffin mix
- 1 package of stuffing
- 1 large applesauce
- 1 can cranberry sauce
- 1 large can yams
Please return the filled bag to the Church on any of the following dates:Saturday, Oct. 28th
before the 4:00 pm MassSunday, Oct. 29th before all Masses Saturday, Nov. 4th
before the 4:00 pm MassSunday, Nov. 5th before all Masses Saturday, Nov. 11th
before the 4:00 pm MassSunday, Nov. 12th before all Masses We have volunteer opportunities to Sort Food on the Sunday dates above and to load cars on Saturday, Nov. 18th.
There will not be home deliveries this year!!We need YOUR help in order to make this a success!
