Deacon Scott Paine

Scott and his wife Carol married in 1978.  They have ten children, including seven adopted children and three birth children, and seven grandchildren.  Scott's "day job" is writing and speaking on leadership, ethics and communication, mostly to local elected and appointed officials. His journey into the diaconate began In the early 1980s when he first experienced what he calls "a gentle nudge" toward the diaconate.  In 2005, Fr. David provided the needed additional nudge that led to Scott's ordination in 2009. Scott and his family love being at St. Mark where "All are Welcome."
