As you may have noticed, we have another addition to our St. Mark Community which came two weeks ago. A statue of the Pregnant Mary came to us through a generous donation from Mr. and Mrs. David Herman, of Herman construction, who built our Church. The Herman's were so impressed by the beauty of our new church, they were moved to do this for us. This bronze statue of Mary comes from the Stuflesser Art Studio in Italy which is the same studio that did all of our other art pieces you see in the Church. We are so grateful to the Herman's for this outstanding donation. I Hope this statue reminds us to pray for all those mothers-to-be and especially for all those women who experience troubled pregnancies or are unable to have children in their marriages. "Oh most gracious Virgin, pray for them."
This weekend we will be distributing our parish survey during all the Masses. I hope you all are able to complete the survey and give us some feedback about our parish. Hopefully we will have the information published in a few weeks.
Also this week, we offer our congratulations to all graduates from High School and College during this exciting time in your life. Our parish family is thrilled for having some part in your formative years. May God bless you!
Finally, we give thanks to those men and woman who gave their lives in the service of our country. Although we will celebrate this event with barbecue's and family gatherings, let us also reflect on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
