What a wonderful start to Lent as we hosted the Mission by Redemptorist Fr. Charles Coury! His message and enthusiasm for Christ's love was contagious. Many people came every night to hear the message of the Cross and the healing and unity it promotes. Hopefully we all can maintain the momentum as the weeks of Lent pass by.
On Monday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m., we will be honored by the presence of our new Bishop, Gregory Parkes, who has been conducting listening sessions throughout the Diocese. I invite all of you to come and hear some of his thoughts on where our Diocese will be heading in the future. This is a unique opportunity and I hope that you will take advantage of it.
This Lent I have taken the time to visit the website "Formed.org" everyday to enhance my faith and knowledge of God and His Church. I have found this website extremely enriching in my Lenten experience. I would highly recommend visiting the sight and see for yourself.
The Knights of Columbus fish fries continue to be a huge success. On St. Patrick's Day, Spirit FM was here to experience once again the best fish fry in the Diocese! Here's hoping that we win the honor again.
Well, that is all for now. I pray that your Lenten experience becomes life changing!
