I am happy to announce that St. Mark has once again been selected to host an "Echo" apprentice who is a graduate student from Notre Dame for a two year commitment in learning about parish life. Patrick Phelan will be reporting for his official day of work on Tuesday, August 16th! Patrick is from San Diego, California and is looking forward to meeting all of you. Hopefully you will get a chance to chat with him and get to know this wonderful individual. Pray for him as he prepares for this great experience. Welcome Patrick!
As I write this, school is about to begin for most of our children. I can't believe how quickly the summer has gone although parents might not think so! Anyway, I pray that both Teachers and Students will have an industrious school year filled with God's blessings.
Finally, the beginning of a school year also reminds us of our commitments to God. St. Mark has been blessed with many people involved in parish ministry and we invite many more to take a step in faith. We continue to need ushers (especially at 5:30 Sunday Mass), golf cart drivers, Office Angels, Eucharistic Ministers, and many more areas in which to be involved. Remember, we are called by God to spread the Good News. There is no better way to do that than to put our faith in action. May God bless you for your devotion to Him.
That is all for now. May your week be filled with God's blessings!
