Fiscal Year Oct. 1, 2013 thru Sept. 30, 2014
How We Help
Last year, our Conference helped people in our parish and the New Tampa/Wesley Chapel community with their utilities, housing, food, medical and transportation, regardless of their age, race or religion.
Your support is needed!
Your donations of money, goods and prayers allowed our Conference to spend $106,245 helping those in need (includes Thanksgiving baskets)..
More than $67,000 was raised and disbursed to 181 families for rent, utilities, food and other emergency expenses.
“I was hungry and you gave me food”
Your donations of food allowed our Conference Pantry to give out 74, 318 pounds of food, which helped more than 1647 families and fed 6821 people. The value of the food per pound is $2.00, which amounts to $148,636.
Shoes & School Supplies
Thanks to you, 75 pairs of new shoes and socks were donated, along with several hundred school supplies to children at 6 area schools, as well as St. Peter Claver, Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Rita parishes.
Thanksgiving Food Baskets
For 15 years now, St. Mark’s conference, along with Christ The King and other area churches, have provided Thanksgiving food to Tampa area families in need. 2000 families benefited from this "labor of love". The effort totals more than $34,000 of goods and funds donated by faithful stewards.
Christmas Giving Tree
Because of the generosity of this parish, more than 1000 Christmas gifts were distributed to children and nursing home seniors in the Tampa area.
Our sincere thanks to all who contribute their time, talent and treasure to help those in need.
