Part of our ministry includes visiting the homes of clients in need. Vincentian case workers will schedule a home visit with the client to discuss their immediate needs, whether they be spiritual, financial, or emotional, and determine how best to assist the client. The case workers always offer to pray with the client during their home visit and most clients are very grateful for the opportunity to share a moment with Christ.
Some of the ways St. Vincent de Paul can help is by assisting in the payment of utility or housing expenses, providing emergency food, or arranging for referrals to the district thrift store to obtain clothing and other household goods, if eligible. We also make referrals to other government and community organizations that offer additional services and resources. This is done in the spirit of fellowship and compassion.
