Christ Renews His Parish™ (CRHP) is a personal and parish spiritual renewal process. As Catholics, we are called to witness to one another the amazing things God as done for us. The CRHP process allows us to do just that—take a break from our busy lives, share our faith with others, and get to know God through his works.
Since 1969, CRHP has impacted over 1,400 parishes throughout the United States. Today, CRHP is the primary program for both personal and parish spiritual renewal in over 100 Catholic dioceses and 40 states across America.
In January and February of 2017, St. Mark will be hosting the CRHP 18 women's and men's retreats. What this means is that upwards of 600 of your fellow parishioners will have attended the 36 total retreats, one or more times, over the last 9 years. It's not new, it's renewal.
The substance of the weekend is the presentation of a number of talks in which individuals share their faith stories with the participants. Group discussion and response are invited following each presentation. Opportunities for Scripture sharing, Reconciliation, and Eucharist are provided throughout the weekend.
The St. Mark Parish currently hosts four weekends a year - two for men and two for women. They take place right at the parish.
The renewal team is comprised of a Spiritual Director and Lay Director and other parishioners who have attended the previous weekend.
The weekend begins at about 7:30 A.M. Saturday and concludes by 4:30 P.M. on Sunday.
