Systems Administrator, Tampa, competitive salary

Description:
• Establish strategic and tactical plans regarding information technology servers, operating systems and related infrastructure, including capacity, obsolescence and upgrade planning.
• Maintain all systems at the most current, reliable release and patch levels.
• Develop and maintain effective security controls for the information technology applications and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate disaster recovery plans for the information technology infrastructure, including periodic system backups and recovery testing.
• Support the Support Services team as needed to resolve client reported incidents.
• Develop, implement and maintain appropriate data storage solutions.
• As required, solicit and evaluate proposals from contract providers, selecting the proposals based on the total evaluated cost and performance and manage all related contract work to quality, cost effective completion.
• Maintain appropriate documentation, including drawings, configurations, settings and recovery plans.
• Ensure an effective level of cross training to provide for self or employee absence.
• Maintain familiarity and expertise with information technology.
• Evaluate and propose value added information technology solutions.
• Maintain relationships with related suppliers.
• Secondary duties may include network administration and support.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, engineering or related program and at least five years directly related experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, experience and certification beyond minimums will be considered.
• Data center operations experience required.
• Windows Active Directory design, implementation and administration required.
• Microsoft Exchange implementation and maintenance required.
• Veritas NetBackup or equivalent required.
• Altiris Total Management Suite or equivalent deployment solutions required.
• Citrix experience required.
• IT industry certification including MCSE desired.
• Storage area network solutions desired.
• SQL Server administration desired.
• Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) administration desired.
• SharePoint desired.
• Experience and/or certification in Cisco network routing and switching, design or security desired.
• Intrusion detection & data encryption technologies and application in a corporate information environment desired.
• SolarWinds network management solutions desired.
