This week I would like to tell you about what is now called "Apparition Hill" in which Our Lady is said to have first appeared to the visionaries. It was around six o'clock in the evening when they first saw her. She was described as an "incredibly beautiful young woman with a little child in her arms." She indicated to them with gestures to come closer but they were afraid to come near. It was on the second day that they finally approached her and thus began years of speaking to Mary on a daily basis. Apparition Hill is a very rocky place to climb and could be seen as dangerous when the rocks are wet. So off I went one day up the hill and discovered 15 stations where the Mysteries of the Rosary were prayed. Despite the steep climb in some places, the stations were a respite for rest and prayerful contemplation. I didn't quite make the entire 15 mysteries of the Rosary (only 5), but it was quite an uplifting experience and I descended full of joy. I think it was a miracle that I made it down! Next week: Cross Mountain
As many of you know, we have begun the Year of Evangelization. This is the final initiative of the four year process given to us by Matthew Kelly of Learning, Orar (Pray), Give, and finally Evangelize. These are the characteristics of truly committed Catholics to help increase their faith and trust in God. I'm excited to share some great material that we have to help us with this initiative. Continue to check the bulletin for details.
Well, that is all for now. May God bless and keep you in His loving care.
