It has been awhile since I last wrote an article so I will try to recap some events to catch us all up. As you can see, the new Church came out so beautiful and I appreciate all the great comments. I wish I could take credit for all of it but I was blessed by being surrounded by so many talented people! Although it might be far from perfect and totally not finished as of this date, I can sense how thrilled many of you are worshiping in a Holy Space specifically built to honor God. As a matter of fact, I have even sensed a greater solemnity and reverence at Mass than was experienced in the other building. It just goes to show what a real Church can do to our spiritual lives. We are still working on tweaking some areas such as sound, lights, etc., so please bear with us. We are currently waiting for the parking lot near the Church to be grown up enough to withstand the weight of cars, so I thank you for your patience.
PLEASE,
PARK ONLY IN DESIGNATED SPACES. Those of you parking on the islands are destroying our sprinkler heads! This is your second home so treat it as you would if it were your first. That way we can all enjoy our beautiful campus.
A few weeks ago, I vacationed in NYC for a few days with some of my family and then took a train along the Hudson River to Albany. It was a pretty ride and we also celebrated the 50th Anniversary of marriage of my brother Tom and his wife Marilyn. It was great getting together with cousins and relatives I have not seen in awhile. We also traveled to Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. It was pretty incredible!
Well, that is all for now. I hope you all are enjoying this hot summer and please get some rest before the busy season gets here.
