The HR Generalist will be responsible for maintaining daily employee relations, administering Human Resources policies and procedures and provide day-to-day Generalist support at the direction of the VP of Human Resources.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supports employee relations
• Conducts new hire orientation
• Collects and analyzes HR data, and makes recommendations to management
• May prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, or company policies
• Develops and implements policies and procedures, counsels, and advises managers and staff on employment laws
• Assists with performance management and employee development
• Conducts exit interviews
• Ensures legal compliance
• Processes HR paperwork
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources
• Must have strong knowledge of employment law, diversity programs, and leaves of absence administration (FMLA, sick leave, etc.)
• Preferred experience in ADP HRB, Great Plains and Microsoft Office
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area
