We at St. Mark the Evangelist are very privileged to have been partnering with the University of Notre Dame Echo Program since 2014. Echo is a dynamic, two-year graduate service program that prepares tomorrow’s leaders in faith formation. The Echo apprentices serve in parishes and schools throughout the country as they earn their M.A. in Theology.
We give the apprentice the opportunity to work at a parish and be formed as a catechetical leader in the Church. We are blessed with the opportunity to be able to help shape the young leaders of our Church through our relationship with the Echo program.
To help us financially support our apprentice and to continue our partnership with the University of Notre Dame, please contact Fr. David DeJulio at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Patrick was born and raised in California. He grew up playing baseball and would watch the Red Sox and Padres almost every day and considered them his favorites. Now he hopes to add the Tampa Bay Rays to that list! Patrick graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Holy Cross College in South Bend, Indiana with a Major in Theology and a Minors in Communication and Philosophy. He will be working with us for the next 2 years to complete his Master's Degree in Theology from Notre Dame University.
His favorite Saints are Saint Andre Bessette, Saint Sebastian, Saint Patrick and Padre Pio.
During my time at St. Mark, I worked mostly with Youth Ministry and Faith Formation. I created the BEACON middle school youth ministry program and developed a leadership team for high school students to serve as Youth Assistants in BEACON. I led a Lighthouse Family Group and helped plan/lead the high school retreats. I have LOVED getting to know all the wonderful families at our parish and growing as a minister during my 2 years serving at St. Mark.
