Mission Statement
St Mark the Evangelist Youth Ministry strives to empower young people to be Disciples of Christ through fun, faith, fellowship, and service. It is our goal to bring teens into the life of the faith community and to enrich their spiritual and personal growth. We hold social events, discipleship projects, and faith sharing activities. Our leadership team is rooted in the Gospel message and dedicated to helping young people develop healthy relationships with Jesus, their friends and family.

NCYC 2011
We were humbled by the opportunity to represent the St Mark community at the 2009 Catholic Youth Conference. We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and generosity of our parish family who made it possible for 12 teens to attend the conference in 2009, which was truly a chance of a life time. Believe it or not, but we are now in the year of preparation for NCYC 2011. If you are interested in attending the 2011 NCYC which will be held in Indianapolas Nov 17-19, 2011, please contact the Youth Office.
Facts about NCYC:
Fact 1. The Theme for the 2011 National Youth Conference is "Call to Glory"
Fact 2. Prayer is an essential component of NCYC. Through prayer, the Catholic Christian community is grounded in the Lord. The days are interwoven with various Catholic prayer forms, to give youth and adults alike, an experience of the breadth of prayer within the church.
"Hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.' Prayer, formed by the liturgical life, draws everything into the love by which we are loved in Christ and which enables us to respond to him by loving as he has loved us. Love is the source of prayer; whoever draws from it reaches the summit of prayer." (#2658 CCC).
